Why Does Water Turn Green?
The green color in pool water is caused by microscopic algae that multiply rapidly when they find favorable conditions.
Action Plan: 48 Hours
Hour 0 - Diagnosis Test the water and identify pH, chlorine and alkalinity levels.
Hour 1 - Physical Cleaning Vacuum as much algae and debris as possible. Brush walls and bottom well.
Hour 2 - Shock Treatment Add shock chlorine (3x normal dose). Keep the pump running 24h.
Hour 24 - Evaluation Water should be clearing. If still green, repeat shock.
Hour 48 - Finalization Vacuum dead residue, backwash filter and balance pH.
