When to Start Preparation
Ideally, start pool preparation between March and April, when temperatures begin to rise but before the intense heat that favors algae growth.
Opening Checklist
- Remove and clean winter cover
- Visually inspect structure and equipment
- Clean skimmer baskets
- Check filter condition
- Level the water
- Vacuum bottom and brush walls
- Test and adjust water parameters
- Perform shock treatment
